High Angle & Rope Rescue Training

Basic High Angle Rescue

This program is designed as a basic entry level into rope rescue techniques. This course is taught in a mountain setting but is easily adapted to any high angle rescue. This program gives a basic working knowledge, in a classroom environment and includes plenty of hands on experience in the field.

This program will acquaint the participant with an organized approach to patient/victim rescue. Each participant will become familiar with the equipment needed to accomplish this task.

Applicants must be in good physical condition to participate.


Advanced High Angle Rope Rescue

This program will deal with different types of rescue equipment, techniques and situations. This program will consist of a classroom presentation and plenty of "hands-on" for each participant. It is intended to acquaint the rescuer with an organized approach to patient/victim extrication from a high- rise facility, equipment, tools, and methods to accomplish the task.

Pre-requisite for this program is successful completion of the basic level of high angle rope rescue.

Applicants must be in good physical condition to participate.


Technical High Angle Rescue

This program will utilize the techniques used in both the basic high angle rescue class and the advanced high angle rescue class. With these techniques, the students will utilize more technical approaches to victim retrieval involving various hauling systems and tie-off techniques not used in the prior two classes. There will be a night rescue involved in the training.

Pre-requisite for this program is successful completion of the basic level of high angle rope rescue class and the advanced high angle rescue class.

Applicants must be in good physical condition to participate.


Specialized High Angle

Additional information may be obtained upon request.
